Weekly Update

Welcome back everyone!!!!! I hope that everyone had a relaxing break with your families. Believe it or not we are entering into the final weeks of the school year. I am looking forward to meeting with everyone next week to talk about all the accomplishments your child has been making recently! If you have not yet submitted your preferred days/times please send in your forms ASAP. Please contact me if you no longer have your forms and I will get you another. 

This week we're starting to celebrate the "summer" birthdays. Your child should have brought home a note with information about the day they are scheduled to celebrate. Your child can wear any clothes for their birthday (but no jeans). Let me know if you have any questions about this!

Tomorrow evening please join us at school for academic night. We'll have a number of reading, science, and math activities for families to participate in. 5 - 7 pm.

Look for information on kindergarten graduation to be coming home soon. We are in the process of finalizing all the detail for this exciting day :)

Kindergarten students have one more mass this year on May 1st. We will assign parts again to several students and they will also have a chance to sing in the choir! They did such a wonderful job last time! Parents are welcome to join us for this mass too. 


Friday = Jean Day for 25 cents.

Listed here is our ABC Countdown. Last year our school had a great time counting down the final days of school with this fun activity. The countdown begins next Tuesday!

The Last 26 School Days at SJCA

Dear Parents,

Believe it or not, the school year is coming to an end. During the last 26 days of school, our school will be participating in the ABC Countdown. Each school day will have a different activity depending on the letter of the day. Your child may need to bring certain things on various days. This sheet will help your child remember what day in the Countdown we are on. We hope your child enjoys his/her last days! 

Tuesday April 24	Animal Day	Bring your favorite small stuffed animal to school.
Wednesday April 25	Baseball Day	Wear your favorite Baseball Team Jersey / Colors
Thursday April 26	College Day	Wear your favorite college team
Monday   April 30	Dollar Day	Bring in a dollar for a local charity
Tuesday May 1	Extra Recess Day	Enjoy some extra time outside.
Wednesday May 2	Family Day	Bring in family pictures to show your class.
Thursday May 3	Game Day	Bring in a board game. You must be willing to play it with other students.
Friday         May 4	Hat Day	Wear your favorite hat to school.
Monday   May 7	Ice Cream Day	Enjoy a frozen ice cream treat.
Tuesday May 8	Joke Day	Write down your favorite joke to share.
Wednesday May 9	Kindness Day	Say something kind to someone today.   Do something extra special for someone.
Thursday May 10	Lollipop Day	Enjoy a lollipop!

Friday         May 11	“M” Day May Crowning	Special “M” Activities with our Principal for the Day
Monday   May 14	New Name Day	Make up a new name for the day.  Create a name tag to wear!
Tuesday May 15	Outside Day	We will be going outside today.
Wednesday May 16	Popcorn/Pretzel Day	Enjoy a special treat.
Thursday May 17	Question Day	We will play 21 questions to guess the mystery item.
Friday   May 18	Running Day	Track and Field day!  Wear some comfortable running clothes and shoes!
Monday   May 21	Silly Sock / Shoe Day	Wear your silliest shoes or socks! Or both!
Tuesday May 22	Team Work Day	Work as a team to do some fun problem solving.
Wednesday May 23	Uniform Day	Wear a sports uniform / jersey to school.
Thursday May 24	Verse Day	Bring in a favorite verse or psalm to share.
Friday         May 25	Wish Day	Write down a wish for next school year!
Tuesday May 29	X-change Autographs Day	We'll exchange autographs in your yearbook or an autograph book.
Wednesday May 30	Year-End Clearance Day	Bring a bag and you'll clean out desks and the room.
Thursday May 31	Zoom out of School Day	Last day of school! Congratulations!
