Weekly Update # 25

I hope that everyone had a great mini break with your family! The students came back looking well rested! We had a good time at the Safety Center today. We had the opportunity to learn about & review lots of different safety topics. 

Conferences are this week....I've included the schedule for you to review your times. 

Remember that we have a 1/2 day on Thursday & a 2pm release on Friday! 

Reading/Daily 5  - Guided reading working on cross checking as we read. Mini lessons on nouns & proper nouns. Practice writing different forms of sentences. Word work with spelling words & HF words. Dr. Seuss literacy activities on Friday. 

Math- Unit 6 (measurement)

Language Arts - Writing project - creating a "how to" writing piece...conferencing & making final edits on this project. 

Social Studies -  careers

Religion - sacraments 

Technology - AR reading quizzes, IXL

Homework - math packet, spelling practice, read & record 5 books on red or white paper strips. (see note in your child's homework folder for directions). The reading homework will be used as a part of our Dr. Seuss activities on Friday.
