Wed - wear Red tops / uniform bottoms
Thur - Black & orange with Jeans. Send costumes to change in the afternoon for classroom party / trunk or treat.
Fri - Dress as your patron or favorite Saint (optional)
Our class has only sold 20 raffle tickets so far. We only have a few weeks left before the auction!!! Remember it would be wonderful if every student sold at least 1 book of tickets!!!!!!!! Let me know if you need more tickets to buy or sell :)

October reading logs - return on Friday
Spelling (short u words) see new list and new study ideas for the month of October. Test on Friday.
Please turn in documentation of the 4 nights of spelling practice with other homework on Friday.
Fry words for October - continue to review the first 100 words. Today the kids took home copies of 1 Breath Boxes as a way to practice. They have been enjoying these in guided reading.
Lexia - login information went home today. This is a computerized reading/phonics practice for your child. The more they practice the more they will get out of it. Use it as much as you like at home. Students will also be using it about 60 minutes a week at school. - read to someone (building stamina, sitting EEKK, how to talk about books with a partner)
- mini lessons on short u, segmenting/blending sounds.
- Guided reading groups / introducing "1 Breath Boxes" to practice our High Frequency words. Introduction to the Café Menu. Guided reading mini lessons on making predictions.
