Week 25

Its another short week - Remember Friday is a 1/2 Day of school for teacher in-service!

I had a wonderful time sledding with the kids on Friday! What a great day! I hope that your kids enjoyed the morning too :)

Thanks again for coming in for parent/teacher conferences, I always enjoying meeting with everyone to talk about your children! I am looking forward to helping them all strive for their best this final trimester!

 Classroom needs -

• cardboard boxes (cereal box, etc.)
• wet ones (for hands)
• Individually wrapped snacks (to keep on hand if a child forgets a snack)
• index cards

Short vowel word packet - read & practice for fluency

 

Daily 5/reading - We're building a rainforest in our class for the next month! Much of our reading and writing will be tied into this theme! The kids have been enjoying the transformation and we are learning all sorts of new things.

Mini lesson - How to writing (finish up final drafts) Rainforest writing

Mini lesson - long vowels, blends with short & long vowels, working on fluency skills (phonics work)
Mini lesson - story sequence and story elements
 

• Read to self - reading books at correct level
