Reminders for the week -
Homework -- Pennies for patients - final week for collections. Please send in your boxes by Friday.
- Look for a homework sheet in the Wednesday with information about a small project. Please complete the assignment by Friday February 13th.
- Lexia - keep up the great practice! The students are really excelling at their skills with all the practice they are completing.
- Reading - please keep practicing the small readers/paper stories & sign the reading log. Please keep the list in your child's folder so I can track their progress and send home the appropriate stories each night.
Literacy (reading & writing) -
- Guided reading in small groups
- word sorts - short vowel words/word families
- identifying the characters, setting, & events in stories
- making connections, cause & effect relationships
- writing - journal writing, winter writing, holiday writing
- addition & subtraction stories (acting out math stories)
- working with 5 groups, seeing 10's in teen numbers
- recognizing partners in numbers 5-10
Religion, science, & social studies will resume this week.
