WELCOME TO SJCA!!!!!!!!!!!

KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION

Welcome to kindergarten at SJCA! The school year ahead will be fun and exciting for all of us. I am looking forward to providing new and creative learning experiences for your child. Communication is a key factor in education, so please do not hesitate to bring up any questions or concerns you might have about school. Feel free to ask me questions at any time!

And on to some specifics……

1. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are gym days. Students need to wear athletic shoes to school on those days. Please consider that girls may be more comfortable in shorts or pants on gym days as well.

2. Please send a complete change of clothes to be kept in your child’s classroom in case of an accident. Don’t forget underwear and socks. No shorts please. If the extra clothes need to be used, please wash them and send them back to school as soon as possible.

3. We will have a snack time in the morning before recess. Please send a healthy or nutritious snack with your child each day. The children may bring a juice box if desired or we have a drinking fountain at school.

4. Birthday treats are always welcome. Make sure there are enough treats for the entire class. We currently have 17 children in the class.

5. Birthday invitations sent out in class should include all students or all boys or girls only.

6. All important notes and schoolwork will be sent home in a folder with your child daily. All notes from the school office will come on Wednesdays. Please check this folder each night and return it to school every day. Any correspondence to either me and/or the school office should be sent in this folder.

7. Our class has a Blog called “Little Lancers”. I update the blog 1-2 times per week about the happenings in our classroom. The web address is - http://thelittlelancersofsjca.blogspot.com/ Over the next few weeks I will also be including some important classroom aspects and SJCA procedures along with classroom updates.

8. If you are unsure about anything please ask! I am here to help you are your child adjust to school at SJCA J and I am always happy to answer your questions.
