Weekly Update -

Thank you everyone for the brown paper bags. I think we've got enough now for all our projects for this month. If you ever have a large collection of them at home...send them in. We will use them throughout the year.

Cold weather reminders:

• Dress warm for outdoor recess
• If your child cannot dress themselves in winter clothes yet...now is a great time to practice! If I have to put on 19 pairs of snow boots we'll never leave the building ; )
• Boots (dress and/or snow) can be worn to school but extra school shoes should be placed in the backpack for the classroom. This includes high leather boots, UGGS, etc. 
• SJCA uniform sweatshirts can be worn everyday except Tuesday (mass day)

This week we will not really be starting a lot of new material. I am taking time to finish a number of different assessments on the kids in reading, writing, and math. Other time will be spent continuing over what we started last week. Individual assessments will be taking the place of guided reading groups Tuesday and Friday this week.

The kids will spend some time this week making their Native American costumes for the Thanksgiving play.

Look tomorrow for a copy of the play to come in your child's folder. He/she will likely have a few words to practice for next Tuesday. We will also be practicing the parts on the classroom this week.

Scholastic book orders went home in the folders last week. This will be the only order I do before Christmas ( I trying to only send them every other month). Orders are due Thursday back the classroom or online.

We were very happy to welcome Mrs. Debish back to school today. Please continue to pray for healing for her and her family. The kids we so happy to have her back in the art room!

Friday - 1/2 day of school - teachers will be preparing your child's report cards for the first trimester.

Next week - Wednesday No School!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your time with your families!
