We made it through Catholic Schools Week! What a great time we had with all the fun activities that were planned. I think the favorite by far was bowling. The kids had a great time bowling and dancing the entire time we were there! It was great to see them having so much fun.
Academics for the week - Lots of things are being carried over from last week!
Reading: read alouds will focus on making predictions and making inferences. Guided reading is starting up again. All kids have been re-assessed to make sure they are reading and working with good fit books. New books will come home with students Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday.
Writing: Completing our 100 themed book with various writing activities, word sorting, spelling words by stretching out sounds
Math: Testing on 2D shapes / introducing 3D shapes, 100 chart activities, measuring 100 footprints
Social Studies - We'll begin studying some of our past Presidents as we approach President's Day
