Weekly Update #30

Here is what we are doing this week -

Reading/Daily 5  - Mini lessons on long vowel a (continued in word work & with smart board lessons) Dibbles testing this week takes the place of guided reading. 

Social goals - daily acts of kindness, social stories & posters about behavior expectations, & more. Remember to ask the kids about their acts of kindness and to encourage them to treat ALL students with kindness & respect! We are also really working to be "bucket fillers." Please keep encouraging your children to fill someone's bucket at home & at school!!!!!!! 

Math- Unit 7 time, shapes, equal parts (continued)

Language Arts - Introduction to opinion writing (fact vs fiction)

Social Studies -  Intro to Unit 4 (our earth & resources), timelines

Religion - Pentecost, Jesus & the Holy Spirit  

Technology - ABCYA - word clouds, or ReadThinkWrite literacy activities 

Homework - math packet, spelling practice, practice reading mini readers, new word list (Fry words 161-200), social studies time line project (due 4/22)
