Reminders for the week -

• 1/2 day of school on Friday (teacher in-service)

Next week -

• St. Patrick's Day (Tuesday) students can wear green tops with any bottoms 
• Friday 10 am Stations of the Cross (shadow stations)

Homework -

• Keep up the great work with the nightly reading practice. The kids are doing a great job practicing at home and bringing their books back on a regular basis.

Literacy (reading & writing) -

• Guided reading in small groups 
• Informative writing project - researching and writing about a holiday
• word sorts - sight word spelling and word building
• exploring nonfiction information texts  
• making connections, cause & effect relationships
• writing - journal writing, informative, explanatory writing

Math -

• addition & subtraction stories (acting out math stories) 
• finding unknown partners
• building teen numbers
• three-dimensional shapes 

Religion -

• Leaning about creation with our 5 senses
• Learning about God with our families
